We arrived in Cambridge around 6pm. The late afternoon sunshine revealed a beautiful landscape of rural England. As if we have crossed over to a different world altogether from wet and windy Wales to a sunny Middle England. Our homestay was located on the outskirt of Cambridge, the south side of the town. A small one bedroom unit on the upper floor, a bit small but has all modern interior and kitchen as well as washing facilities. Enough for our short stay. I was quite impressed with all the kitchen and washroom accessories. Very elegant and modern.
By 7pm we were ready to head out to the mosque; arrived there just in time for maghrib prayers. The mosque has big underground parking lot-like a shopping mall. Usually for Friday prayers in any mosque in the UK parking will be a huge problem. So at least here they tackled that parking issue head on. The main prayer hall was huge and beautiful. It was really an honor to be able to come and pray here.
