Fethiye

Dinner with rice, kicap and salmon. sambal bilis and serunding also there.

From the mountains we were back to a sea port town. The long back-cracking ride from Denizli was complimented by a stunning view of the sparkling blue ocean. The yachts at the marina make perfect postcard photos but less exciting than the ones in Izmir or Bodrum. In Fethiye most docks have no public access; they either privately owned or belong to yacht clubs.

We explored the city center and went to a wet market selling fish etc like a pasar besar. And interestingly we found a shop selling traditional Turkish food like olives, cheese, pickles and sweet delights. I tasted each one and my taste buds went crazy. I love the black olives the most and they have got plenty over here with good price (about rm23 /kg). I bought half a kilo each— just to limit my luggage space.

Our short stay here was really fantastic (only one day here). We left Fethiye at 2:15 Kamilkoc bus to Antalya.
