The air was heavy, and the scorching sun began to burn my back. Having lost track of time due to the time zone change, I believe we arrived mid-morning. The flight was uneventful, as I slept through most of it. From the airport, we took a train to Central Station and then continued by bus. Since we arrived early, our room wasn’t ready, so we left our luggage and decided to explore the nearby riverside walk. It was pleasant in the shade, but we were eager to rest in our room. By 2 p.m., we were able to check in and settle down.

Later in the afternoon, we strolled along Kangaroo Point, enjoying the scenic riverbanks. We crossed the river to explore Brisbane’s central business district. As the sun began to set, we made our way to QUT (Queensland University of Technology) to find a prayer room. After performing solat (prayer), we headed into town to visit Coles, a grocery store, where we picked up some salad and smoked salmon for dinner. With our meal sorted, we returned to the Point Hotel and called it a night.
