We were travelling from Nice through the mountain roads. At one remote area there was a man walking by himself. It was in the middle of nowhere and the idea of helping him was voiced by one of us. At first it was not in a serious tone as the stranger might be dangerous. But then, why not?! It was cold and he might be far away from home. So we decided to take the risk and turned around to get him.

He was so pleased and thanked us a few times before getting into the car. I greeted him and his hand was cold and he was shivering as he squeezed into the back seat by my side.

It turned out he just came back from the bank and on the way home just a few minutes down the road. So he was nice and we were glad to have helped him eased his morning chores.
