The road was winding with steep mountains on one side and Adriatic Sea on the other side. This small country is, in a sense, one big seaside resort. The scenery was breathtaking so beautiful everywhere you look it\u2019s like a picture frame of a beautiful resort. I didn\u2019t expect Montenegro to be this \u201ccute\u201d , fun and beautiful. Unfortunately, I was told, many properties ( hotels &casinos) here are owned by foreigners ( aka. Russians).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We reached Budva during lunch time. The city seemed to be buzzing with holiday makers. The yachts and taxi boats were docked around the marina. A beautiful sight of fun and leisure. I have seen this picture before and it was twice the fun and leisure. One such port is Bodrum in Turkey. Similar ambience similar views but if can\u2019t afford to be on any of those yachts than you just waste the time walking up and down the marina and still feeling miserable and poor. It\u2019s not your thing so stop taking photos and make a fool of yourself. After lunch we were stuck as the prayers must be done there and then. But with twenty people it was hard to imagine how we can solat in a chinese restaurant. In the midst of chaos, I slowly moved the chairs away, called over who was ready and prayed. No how no buts just get it done. Then I left and hope for everyone else to try made the solat. I could see the struggle in some of them when the time for solat. But everyone seemed to try their best and did not complain.That\u2019s a good thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We continued our journey to next destination \u2014 Kotor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located nicely by the edge of the mountains and the sea bay, this unique little place got the protection of the steep hills and benefited from the bounty of the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Modern day Kotor filled with tourists coming to pay homage to many ancient churches in the town. They are mainly Orthodox Christians. as the Ottoman never succeeded to conquer Kotor, there was no mosque within this city. We have a hard time finding a place to pray. So not recommended for Muslim travellers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I felt strange to be among the people that have fought against Islam. And now I am here to acknowledge what. a beautiful place you have and admired your civilization etc. So you are muslim just like our not-so-kind neighbors over the hills??<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes I am. Infact I came from far away land thinking that you ought to be kind to your neigbors,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
