At 9:04 we were already on the highway heading towards Gap. About 4 and a half hours away. We said goodbye to our host at her garden as she plucked some tomatoes for our journey. What a lovely lady! I pretended not to notice her distorted face; she must have gone through some serious health issues in the past. But she was okay so did her husband as we talked about the massive butternut and courgette in the garden. The geese made some noise when we tried to how many of them in that little shack.

The house was a bit out of town settled on the hillside. The views were magnificent looking down the city of Nice. They built their houses perched on the rocky hills and managed their life around it. The roads were difficult to manoeuvre as they twist and turn on every corner. But they managed and so did we; adapting the strange driving skills.
I slept well on the mezzanine floor as the rest bunking in the room downstairs. It was okay as the weather was nice and cozy just a bit chilly. So far I am okay, physically sound and a lot better than I was worried about. In the afternoon,I was easily tired and turned off much of the time. This whole journey has been wonderful and stunned me to the bones. It was like I was transported into a different world. All I know about France was the Eiffel Tower but these past few days I have seen France in a completely different way; the landscapes and rural wonders that anyone could easily fall in love with. My heart sunk as we drove through the tunnels and by the streams beneath a Goliath rocky mountains .
……. Until I got carsick. The crooked roads just a few inches from the steep hillside made me sick. My head spun and my stomach twitched. Here we go…..the sick man has returned. I held my sick stomach like a child holding a teddy bear.

We finally reached this lovely town with a small mosque in an industrial area. The Jumuah prayers has just finished as people started to leave. They gave away some food to the congregation and I quickly grabbed a big bun of bread that looked so yummy. It was nice ; tasty and delicious. We had that for lunch at a park.
