Selçuk

We arrived at noon and shortly found myself sitting on a bench waiting for a minibus to Epheseus ( that Greek ancient site). Like waiting for “keta sapu” to balik kampung some distant time ago.

At the train station

The place was full of tourists. From all over the world — Americans, Europeans, Chinese, Japanese,Koreans and Malaysians ( and that’s us). Forty Euros to get in. Speechless I think I shit myself(rasa nak terberak!). But what to do just go for it.

The place was huge and ,surprisingly ,still visibly intact today. This was the complex for worship, entertainment and shopping. Basically a small town where people come to socialise.

After three hours we were done and left. The next stop was a little mountain town called Şirince. Surprisingly this town is famous for its wines. Hmmm we missed that small detail. We strolled around, prayed Zuh/Asr at the mosque and left.

Stopped by Alsancak to view sunset and had delicious doňer pilav for dinner. Apparently this place is where the actions are. The night life of Izmir just about to begin with loud music and youngsters sitting around drinking and talking. It was a seaside esplanade with views of seaports and cargo ships. But we were about to call it the day. After dinner we went back to the hotel and saw a group of people fighting in the street. It was just too much for one day so we hurriedly find our way and left them.

No more photo from me as my phone was dead .
