Whale Watching Trip

The sky is gray and the clouds seem heavy. Is it a good day to be out in the ocean? I had my reservations but hoping for the best. I watched whales splashing in the air only on TV with the narrations from David Attenborough. So this opportunity is epic and would not miss for the world. Is there really a whale out there for us to see? Well this business is everything about that giant creature so she must be out on a regular basis.my heart fluttered for a moment jumping for the unexpected joy I would feel. But first, the seasick tablet must be taken so that I won’t miss the whole experience today. So we went out on this boat feeling cold and nippy around 8:30 am after running around the port looking for the right dock.

Suddenly, the boat went quiet and a suddent burst of air exploded into the air and there she was gasping for breath. Wow! She’s big ,one big scary bitch that might flip this boat in no time. But then she disappeared into the water ;we were left with awe and unbelievably shaken. The size of her was monstrous from up close but then I remembered David Attenborough described her as “ a gentle giant”— the humpback whale. She gracefully dived in and out of the water like a kid enjoying a playground. I just couldn’t believe to be here watching the largest mammal roaming the ocean.
When the sun kissed your cheeks and the the waves vibrated into your hearts, you hoped for the time to stand still. The wind blew my stress away and I forgot to be seasick for awhile. It was a beautiful morning and I never thought there was a place like this—-where ocean lulled your anxieties away and gave you no option but to be at ease with yourself. The whale is no where now to see and it was time to get back. It felt like she came to say love and then gone without a trace. Just like the song “ Fatwa Pujangga” …. ke manakah kan ku alamat kan risalah ini…..moga berjumpa di lain masa……something like that.
