We drove on again from one mountain top to another in the Alps of France. The place famous with skiing and all other winter sports ie ice hockey, ice boarding, rock climbing etc. The ski resorts were everywhere and you can see hotels and service centres were preparing for the coming season. For now the areas were quiet and when the season started in December it will be jam packed; so I was told. We were early maybe two months early to catch the ski festival. We were not there for the sport anyway so we were okay. I just couldn’t imagine how the place will look like when the ski season opens. I mean the roads are winding and too narrow for cars to pass by. How could they survive?

In terms of sceneries , they are awesome. Mesmerising mountain sides with green vegetation like someone keeps cutting the grass. Some houses spotted the landscape to make the views real. It is not a photo shot of Swiss highland but a real village somewhere in this part of France. We stood there trying to catch the best angle for our phone. The best angle was everywhere even the cows looked cool munching away in the grass.

As the late autumn arrived to cover the sky, the weather has started to chill. I imagined the summer that has just passed must be fantastic here. Beautiful skies and warm nights where days lasted longer than usual. I wish I was here. We drove through a quiet village and saw people started to trim their garden making it nice and beautiful. I wonder what happens to my garden back home. The last time I left them some survived some barely alive to seek a glimpse of sunshine.

A pit stop for the day was a beautiful lake; lac d’Aceny. Can you imagine a big lake at the top of a mountain ? SubhanaAllah. Allah gives nikmat for some people in a way unimaginable by others. We enjoy our beach dearly and here Allah brought the beach up to the mountains for these people.
فَبِأَیِّ ءَالَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿ ١٨ ﴾
Ar-Raḥmān, Ayah 18

I sat by the lake trying to catch the cold breeze coming down from the top . A few boats still out there struggling to find the winds to mobilise their boats. They were students from the nearby academy. The sky was getting darker and they must hurry to get off the lake before the wave getting wilder.
For tonight our place will be an hour from here; on the other side of the lake. An attic apartment with views of the sky…. but tonight no view because the sky was pitch black. No stars. I slept long and deep to recover from this nail-biting road trip. This journey is something else never in my slightest mind to embark on such challenging “adventure “. I thought it was like a Sunday drive through a countryside;but hang on to your hat type of drive…..and don’t get sick! (I did!)
